Information for 2 Year Program starting in September
We are now conducting interviews for the 2010 fall classes. This program begins the week of September 13th and continues through the first week of June 2011. 2nd year is by invitation only.

We offer M-1 student visas to international students. Visa students are required to be enrolled full time.

To schedule an interview please send the online student application form and email a *headshot/resume to esperstudio@gmail then we will call you to schedule an interview.

In order for your application to be considered we require a well written and honest letter of intent. Your previous experience as an actor is not as important as your desire to learn.

Once an interview is scheduled you are required to read the articles on our website: "Why Study?" an interview with William Esper and "A Final Thought: To MFA or NOT to MFA? That is the Question." You must also read William Esper's book "The Actor's Art and Craft," which can be purchased on-line, at The Drama Book Shop, or any major bookstore. This will help you understand the way classes are run and the level of commitment that is required at the studio. Applicants who have not read the book will not be interviewed.

You must be at least 18 years old in order to apply. Those who are applying from overseas or out of state can schedule a phone interview. You may be asked to submit a reel or audition or a video telling us about yourself and why you would like to join the studio.

Students may apply to the Full Time Program, Core Program or the Part Time Program.

An Interview with William Esper
All applicants to the studio are asked to read this in-depth interview with studio founder William Esper. In it, Mr. Esper talks in detail about how acting is taught at the studio, covering the skills and techniques students will learn in both the first and second years of their training.
