The Summer Intensive is designed to introduce actors to the methods of training employed by the Studio, built on the foundations of the Meisner Technique. For students who wish to continue their training in the Fall or Winter, it provides a strong send-off for the Two Year Program.
The 2024 Summer Intensive begins June 17, 2024. All classes will end by August 2, 2024.
Interviews for the 2024 Summer Intensive are ongoing. There is no deadline, however, once classes are full we will continue to hold interviews for a wait list. The earlier you interview, the more likely there will be availability for a spot in a class. We do encourage you to apply, even if we are close to the start date, as we often are able to accommodate those on the wait list.
We offer M-1 student visas for international students enrolled in the Full-Time Summer Intensive.
Acting classes in the Intensive meet three times a week for three hours per class. Supplemental classes are also offered in Voice and Speech, Movement, Alexander, African Dance, Improvisation. These additional class offerings allow a student to create a full- or part-time program that fits their schedules.
The program requires a full commitment from students. Students are not allowed to miss classes and must also commit to rehearsals between classes.
Acting classes meet on Mon/Wed/Fri. There are classes that meet in the morning 10am-1pm, the afternoon 2-5pm and in the evening 6:15-9:15pm.

Students in the Part-Time Program have the option sign up individually for any of the supplemental classes in addition to their Acting Technique class, however, placement priority is given to Core and Full-Time students.
