The Two-year Part-time Program consists of Acting Technique I, and Acting Technique II. This acting technique class meets twice per week for three hours per class. Payment for the Part-time Program may be made in full or broken down into three installments. Upon enrollment in the Acting Technique class, optional conservatory classes can be added on a class-by-class basis.

The Two-year Core Program consists of three classes: Acting, Movement, and Voice & Speech. Each class meets twice per week, for a total of 13 hours of class time. Payment for the Core Program may be made in full or broken down into three installments. Upon enrollment in the Core Program, optional conservatory classes can be added on a class-by-class basis.

The Two-year Full-Time Program is designed to provide a conservatory experience. This program includes Acting Technique, as well as various classes designed to accompany this training:
1st Year – Acting Technique 1, Movement 1, Voice & Speech 1, Alexander 1, Mask, Theater History, Dance, Improvisation 1, Stage Combat 1 and Mime & Physical Theater
2nd Year – Acting Technique 2, Movement 2, Voice & Speech 2, Alexander 2, Stage Combat 2, Acting On-Camera, Audition, Script Analysis, Improvisation 2, and Cold Reading
Full-Time students should expect to be in class 18-25 hours per week. The above classes are all required components of the Full-Time program. Payment for the Full-time Program may be made in full or broken down into three installments.

Part Time: $4,500 + $100 registration fee
Core: $10,200 + $100 registration fee
Full Time: $19,700 + $100 registration fee
International Students: $20,700 - $25,500* + $300 visa application fee

Esper Studio’s Two-Year Professional Actor Training Program provides training in the Meisner Technique and a full offering of conservatory-style classes.
In the Two-Year Program, students attend classes a minimum of two days per week, and may attend as many as five or six days per week depending on their choice of program and scheduling. Please see above descriptions to learn more about our Part-Time, Core and Full-Time offerings. Morning, afternoon and evening classes are available. Program choices and schedule options can be discussed during the interview process.
Students who enroll in the fall typically start mid-September and complete their first year in the beginning of June.

The Studio provides the opportunity to begin the training program in January of each year. Students on this schedule begin in January and continue until the end of July. If invited to return for second year, students will begin the 2nd year work in the third week of September and finish at the end of the first week of June. The Fall and January programs have identical course work and requirements for completion.
APPLY NOWWork at the studio derives from William Esper’s close association with Sanford Meisner, with whom he worked as a teacher and director for 17 years. For 25 years, Mr. Esper was a Full Professor and Head of the Professional Actor Training Programs at the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University.
