These words are at the heart of our work. We believe craft is vitally important and a strong foundation is essential. Through a series of sequential exercises, our foundation helps the actor learn to work from the core of their own truth. By developing your inner life, you become unique and alive on stage and on screen. Our work derives from Bill Esper's close association with Sanford Meisner, his devotion to continuing the legacy of Sandy's approach to training actors, and then ultimately refining and extending Sandy's technique. Bill's background as an artist gave him a particular point of view about Meisner's work and the part it plays in training exceptional actors. Bill's legacy continues today through our comprehensive curriculum and the direct lineage he passed on to our teachers, by personally training them to teacher the Meisner Technique.
