The Summer Intensive is a focused introduction to Meisner-based training, designed for actors seeking significant growth over a concentrated period of time. Whether you're new to the technique or returning to deepen your work, the Intensive offers a rigorous, supportive environment to develop your craft. Students engage in classes at the Studio 3-5 days per week, guided by faculty trained in the Esper lineage, with a focus on working moment-to-moment, spontaneity, and truthful behavior. The Intensive allows students to experience a portion of our conservatory training in a dynamic, short-term format. The Summer Intensive is offered in multiple tracks, ranging from Part-time to Full-time, allowing actors to choose the level of intensity that best supports their needs and schedules.

Dates
The 2026 Summer Intensive begins June 22, 2026. All classes will end by August 1, 2026.
Interviews
Interviews for the 2026 Summer Intensive are ongoing. There is no deadline, however, once classes are full we will continue to hold interviews for a wait list. The earlier you interview, the more likely there will be availability in a class. We do encourage you to apply, even if we are close to the start date, as we often are able to accommodate those on the wait list.

Classes
Acting classes in the Intensive meet three times a week for three hours per class. Classes are also offered in Voice and Speech, Movement, Alexander, West African Dance and Improvisation. These offerings allow a student to immerse themselves full-time or create a modified program that fits their schedules. The program requires a full commitment from students. Students must attend all classes and also rehearse between each acting class. Acting classes meet on Mon/Wed/Fri. There are classes that meet in the morning 10am-1pm, afternoon 2-5pm and evening 6:15-9:15pm. Class placement and scheduling can be discussed during your interview.
